Ssekabaka Rashid Kalema

Prince Kalema Muguluma, another son of Ssekabaka Muteesa I, succeeded his brother Kiweewa as Kabaka in 1888 with the backing of the Muslim faction at court. His rule lasted barely a year: in 1889 Mwanga II, allied with Christian factions, returned from exile and reclaimed the throne. Kalema died shortly afterward, amid the continuing conflict of that period.
